Investigators suspect that the intention was to sell the dummy rings in a collection.

The inspectors confirmed that the rings were false and constituted a violation of the NBA's and several teams' trademarks, including the Los Angeles Lakers, the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs.

No arrests were announced immediately.

Officials say that if the rings were real, the collection could be worth more than $ 550,000.
