Court denies plea deal in Eau Claire nonprofit embezzlement case

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A judge rejects a deferred acceptance of a guilty plea deal in an embezzlement case from a Eau Claire-based charity.

Renelle Laffe, 41, was charged with theft from a business for an amount ranging from over $ 10,000 to $ 100,000 in 2019.
