San Andreas, California – With 23 new active cases of COVID-19, Calaveras County has tripled its number from the 7 cases reported earlier in the week.

The new cases include one woman aged 0 to 17, five women and five men aged 18 to 49, two women and four men aged 50 to 64, and three women and three men over 65. Five resident cases each. in Districts 1, 4 and 5. There is one case in District 2 and seven in District 3.

The county currently has a total of 422 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, comprising 230 women and 192 men. There are 36 active cases including 365 since recovered. The age group with the most cases is still 18 to 49 at 172, followed by 65 and over at 137. Sadly, 21 people have died from COVID-19-related deaths in the county. The county has been moved from yellow or “minimal” 4 risk level to “moderate” orange level 3, a more restrictive level on the state’s 4-level COVID-19 system. This means that some operations inside will be allowed to be opened with modifications such as a limited number of people allowed inside.
