Covid vaccines for children under 12 to be reviewed quickly, FDA says

Covid-19 vaccines for young children will be verified as quickly as possible once drugmakers apply for clearance for them, U.S. regulators have said, promising a swift review amid concerns about the infection risks to which children face.

Currently, Americans 12 and older are eligible to receive a vaccine. But the recent rise in infections fueled by the delta variant and the start of a new school year have increased calls for immunizations among young children.
