The former Dallas Cowboys receiver, Michael Irvin, announced Tuesday on Instagram that he had spent the previous two days in a UCLA hospital testing throat cancer.
The results of Irvin's biopsy still seem to be waiting.

Irvin wrote that he noticed a problem when he lost his voice in the Cowboys' win over the New Orleans Saints last season. The problem persisted for almost two months. He saw doctors who advised the series of tests done at UCLA.

The father and brother of Irvin died of cancer

A member of the Professional Football Hall of Fame, Irvin has competed in the Pro Bowls five times and has won three Super Bowls in a 12-year career with the Cowboys.
