Orlando Florida – The Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) is in full swing on Saturday and will see a number of big names talking about the issues facing the country and the conservative movement.
Big names include South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who became a leading name last year for her management of the state during the coronavirus pandemic – when she refused to shut down the state , keeping schools and businesses open.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will also deliver remarks at the conference on “How the Bill of Rights Inspires Us at Home and Around the World”. Pompeo and Noem have both been seen as potential candidates for the 2024 presidential election.
Earlier today, Senator Marco Rubio will address his home country as the day’s first speaker. Also in the morning, the former acting director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell will speak.
There will also be a number of signs throughout the day. “Sell Outs: The Devaluing of American Citizenship” will see Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Representatives Yvette Herrell, RN.M., and Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., Discuss immigration issues.
Separately, there will be a panel on China with Senator Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., And former Ambassador Robert Lighthizer. A panel on Biden’s energy policies will include Reps Jodey Arrington, R-Texas, Mike Kelly, R-Pa., And Senator Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo.

Other panels will include one on the Second Amendment, Abortion and “The Awakening of American Business”. There will also be breakout sessions on trade, electoral law and foreign policy.
Meanwhile, Minority House Leader Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., Will speak on the theme of “Winning Back America.”
CPAC, which is sponsored by Fox Nation, is the first major event for the Conservatives since the presidential election. This gives conservatives the opportunity to reassess the movement and determine what it should look like in the Biden era.

But this conversation is likely to have former President Donald Trump at its center for the time being. The 45th president will speak on Sunday and is expected to offer a scathing rebuke of Biden’s first month as president – while also outlining what the GOP needs to do to take Congress in midterm 2022.
Trump’s influence was felt throughout the conference, with regular references to his achievements in power by speakers – and memorabilia both on sale and worn by attendees. Meanwhile, some of the strongest anti-Trump voices were not present at the conference.

The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic were also visible at the conference. While the conference had moved to Orlando from Maryland due to the restrictions, attendees were still required to wear masks and pass health checks upon entering the conference.
