Mariah Carey was moved when her two young children bought cell phones.
The pop diva, 52, was reportedly furious when her ex-husband Nick Cannon, 41, bought the devices for their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, 10, earlier this year.
Cannon claimed that Carey didn’t want their kids to have smartphones for fear they would search for her on Google or find their half-siblings on the internet.
“My older twins Roc and Roe wanted a cell phone to [age] 8, “Cannon revealed during a preview of an upcoming episode of his” Nick Cannon “talk show.
“They have iPads and I totally agreed, but Mariah was like, ‘Uh, they’re not going to google us. Learning about all of their new siblings, no, we’re not playing. ‘ “
Cannon has five more children, four of whom were born to three different women in the past year alone.
The “Feelin ‘Freaky” rapper told his talk show audience, “I respected him at 8, but then we made a deal and said at 10 they could have him. 10 years is a more reasonable age? Mariah said ‘Uh Uh, no.’ ”
However, Cannon confessed that he went ahead and bought the cell phones from Moroccan and Monroe without his ex-wife’s permission.
“I always have them cell phones for their [10th] anniversary, ”he said.
“We had this amazing party with jumps, their friends came over, it was so amazing. Then it was time to open the presents, I was like, “I’m going to leave them here and tell your mum I’ll be back.” Mariah is still mad at me to this day.
He ended the segment by humorously looking at the camera and saying, “Mariah, forgive me!”
While Carey may think her children are too young to have cell phones, they are now old enough to be on camera.
In July, 10-year-old Monroe made her modeling debut in a new commercial for OshKosh B’Gosh.
The back-to-school campaign, titled “Today Is Someday,” featured the young woman telling her famous mom at the time, wearing overalls and posing a storm while singing into a hairbrush.
Meanwhile, Cannon says his two children with Carey may have more half-siblings in the future.
He told Entertainment Tonight earlier this year that maybe it was “God’s plan” for him to have more than the seven children he already has.
“Think about it, you can’t say, ‘No, I’m done. “Like God was saying, ‘No, no,'” Cannon told the program.
In addition to Moroccan and Monroe, Cannon is the father of a 4 year old son, Golden, and a 10 month old daughter, Powerful Queen. He shares the two children with Miss Guam 2014 pageant winner Brittany Bell, 33.
Meanwhile, the rapper hosted twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with DJ Abby De La Rosa, 29, on June 14 of this year.
Then, nine days later, on June 23, he became the father of his fifth son, Zen, with model Alyssa Scott.
