TRI-CITIES, Wash.-Are you a Game of Thrones fan? Now, until March 17, if you donate blood, you have a chance to win an epic draw prize for the world premiere of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.

Due to the country's extreme winter conditions, the American Red Cross says it urgently needs blood donations.

HBO and the American Red Cross have teamed up to ask fans and blood donors of #BleedForTheThrone.

Eligible individuals may make an appointment on RedCrossBlood.org to ensure that critical medical treatment or emergency care is not delayed or canceled.

The partnership includes blood drives in 43 states from March 7-12, as well as nine US colleges and universities from March 12 to April 11.

To thank those who donate blood or platelets, the Red Cross organizes a special competition. People who donate to a Red Cross blood drive between February 19 and March 17 will automatically be entered for a chance to win one of the five trips to the first Game of Thrones World Season. .

A blood donor card or driver's license or two other pieces of identification are required for registration. Persons 17 years of age in most states (16 with the consent of the parents, where permitted by law), who weigh at least 110 pounds, and who are generally in good health may be allowed to donate blood. High school students and other donors aged 18 and under must also meet certain height and weight requirements.
