The shoemaker filed four trademark infringement lawsuits last week in several US district courts against about 20 companies it claims violate its brands and other intellectual property on footwear.
In the same lawsuit, Crocs cited Hobby Lobby’s $ 12 “white foam clog ladies’ shoes” as an alleged imitation of its original clog shoe.
The costume also called a Loeffler Randall “Ezra Black Rubber Clog” as what he said was like a copy shoe from his clog.
Crocs said in the Colorado lawsuit that such imitating products are “likely to cause confusion or error, or to deceive customers, and therefore infringe the Crocs trademarks.”
The Crocs hoof was once mocked, but it has become adored in recent years. And for some consumers looking for comfort, this is the shoe of choice for the pandemic.
These have included special edition collaborations with Post Malone, Justin Bieber, and fast food chain KFC, where the shoes come with attachable charms that looked and smelled like fried chicken. A phosphorescent collaboration with Latin trap artist Bad Bunny quickly sold out after its launch in September of last year.
