Gio Urshela fouled the ball in the third inning to hit him below the belt, sending him down for several minutes in Sunday's 13-5 victory over the Yankees. He finished the striker, scratched and played the next three sets before being replaced by striker Thairo Estrada in sixth.

"I think he's fine," said manager Aaron Boone. "He had trouble running. I do not think it's too serious. We were cautious because he did not feel well. "

Dellin Betances (conflict on the right shoulder) made 50 shots over 90 feet on Sunday. He hopes to raise it to 110 feet in the next few days and says he feels no shoulder problem.

Betances said he hoped to return to his job next month, but he is not too urgent.

"I had a setback, so we do not want to have the same problem," Betances said of his mock match in April when he was not feeling well. "We take our time with that, but everything has been checked [out] well. We just have to continue, keep building and hopefully everything will come off the mound. I'll probably start a pencil soon here, and then from there, you go pretty fast after that. "

Gary Sanchez led Diego Castillo fifth with a shot from the wall that bounced on Brandon Lowe, allowing Sanchez to finish third for the first hat-trick of his career. According to Elias Sports Bureau, Sanchez ranks second among the most active players without a triple in his career (1,101). Only Ryon Healy of Seattle had more (1,501). The former Yankee Erik Kratz now moves to second place on this list with 840 without-triple-bats.

Brett Gardner stood out on a 2-26 slip with three hits, including a first in his group since May 6. Two of Gardner's big hits on Sunday were ranked sixth. Gardner is the first Yankee with two shots in the same heat since Mark Teixeira in Cleveland on July 10, 2016.

"He had some shots in the area and was aggressive," said Boone.

"[There was] just not going well, "said Gardner. "I do not know what was wrong, but I just have to trust the process."

Chance Adams has started the last three innings and has not let his first game go with the Yankees this season. After the match, he was selected for a triple-Scranton / Wilkes-Barre to allow the Yankees to add a rested arm to Monday's game in Baltimore.
