CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The NBA All-Star weekend is underway, the roads are closed, the players and celebrities are here and the fans are ready to kick off the party.
The first major events of the NBA Star Weekend were the Celebrity Game at the Bojangles Coliseum and the Rising Stars Game at the Spectrum Center.

Comedian Famous Los scored 22 points and was selected as the most valuable player on the home team in the 82-80 win over the visiting team in the NBA All-Star's most memorable celebrity match.
Quavo, part of the Migos hip-hop trio, scored 27 points for the visiting team, and former NBA star Ray Allen added 24 points in the game, which included 4-point baskets.
Roads surrounding the Spectrum Center in downtown Charlotte began to be blocked Thursday night as visitors flocked to the city for the NBA All-Star weekend.

The following streets near the Spectrum Center will be closed:
- East Fifth Street
- Fourth Street
- Caldwell street
- Brevard Street
- Shopping street is

Huge crowds will be in the Charlotte area all weekend as thousands prepare for the NBA All-Star Weekend.
Authorities said that there were more than 300 All-Star related parties in Charlotte for the city to ensure that stays are safe.
