Crunchyroll Announces 2020 Anime Awards Nominees

2020 has been a strange year for the anime. Some shows were delayed and released months after they were supposed to, and others were pushed back to 2021. But even with all the complications, last year still had a lot of standout animated series. To celebrate all the best anime 2020 had to offer, Crunchyroll is once again hosting its annual Anime Awards.

The anime streaming service, which was recently acquired by Sony, announced its nominees on Friday and it features many of the year’s most popular shows, including Jujutsu kaisen, Keep your hands on Eizouken!, Dorohedoro and even Beaststars. This year’s winners will be chosen in part by fan votes. Fans can vote daily on the anime awards website. Voting will open on Friday January 15 and close a week later on January 22.
