Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Wednesday tore Biden’s climate czar and former Secretary of State John Kerry on “Fox News Primetime” Wednesday over what Cruz described as degrading comments about blue-collar workers whose jobs were abruptly cut when President Biden rescinded the keystone XL Pipeline Permit.
At a White House press conference earlier Wednesday, Kerry claimed workers in the industrial and energy sector were victims of a “false narrative” based on the economic policies of the Trump era.
“They were fed the idea that climate management comes at their expense,” said Kerry. “No, it isn’t. What is happening to them is happening because other market forces are already taking place.”
“It’s not a unifying message, and it doesn’t do the job we should be doing [in] fight for the men and women who work in this country, ”said Cruz.

Kerry went on to explain that workers at risk of losing their jobs should have considered more suitable jobs in areas that are more likely to be of benefit to a future green economy.
“You look at the consequences of black lung for a miner, for example, and compare that to the fastest growing job in the United States, [which] before COVID was the solar energy technician, “Kerry said.” The same people can do these jobs, but the choice to do solar power is now a better choice.
“What an arrogant and offbeat statement for a centimillionaire,” Cruz retorted. “You know, ‘You little ones, you know, I don’t like the choices you make, and so your jobs are gone,’ as John Kerry said right there. Kerry gained much of her wealth after marrying Teresa Heinz, the multimillionaire widow of the ketchup company, Senator John Heinz III, R-Pa., Who died in a plane crash in 1991 near Philadelphia.
“I asked several Biden candidates what they were going to say to unionized workers who had just lost their jobs because Joe Biden had decided they didn’t deserve a job,” Cruz told host Maria Bartiromo. “And basically nominee after nominee after nominee says, ‘Well, no luck.'”
