Hugh Hefner’s widow posted a photo Wednesday on her verified Instagram account showing her bandaged up, with a caption that begins: “I had fat transfer surgery on October 16 and was almost unsuccessful.”

“I lost half the blood in my body and ended up in the hospital needing a blood transfusion,” the caption read. “Since then, I have been eating slowly to regain my health and I finally feel good.

Hefner writes that she has been an ‘advocate for naturalness’ after falling ill and having her implants removed in 2016.

“I should have learned my lesson the first time around, but I guess the universe keeps sending you the same lesson until you learn it,” she wrote.

Fat transfer is the process of taking fat from one part of the body and grafting it onto others, including the breasts and hindquarters.

“Our culture is a trap and makes women feel bad about themselves,” writes Hefner. “Movies (84.9% male-directed) make it worse. Social media make it worse. Ads make it worse. Physically fake people make it worse (I was one of them). “

According to the model, “The way our culture defines beauty makes it impossible to keep pace.”

“Women are too sexualized,” she says. “I know from the worst experience.” ⁣

The former Crystal Harris was married to Hugh Hefner from 2012 until her death in 2017 at the age of 91. She appeared on both the Playboy site and in the magazine before their wedding.
