In the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) confirmed 45 new cases of dengue in Nicaragua, while the number of suspected cases increased to 437.
The highest number of confirmed cases is concentrated in Chinandega, followed by León and Granada. Rosario Murillo, Vice President-designate, said he has implemented special plans for areas where there are more confirmed and suspicious cases.
"We have days of cleaning, garbage disposal, and we have permanent attention, looking for fever," said the manager.
On July 30, Daniel Ortega's regime decreed the state's national epidemiological alert for the dengue virus. According to the authorities, there are 55,289 suspected cases and 2,232 confirmed cases.
The Minsa authorities have recently indicated that this measure would be extended until next November.
