Cuba wins the U20 World Athletics title (+ photo)

Tampere, Finland, 14 (PL) Cuban Jordan Diaz won the triple jump event of the U-20 World Athletics Championships here today.

The 17-year-old athlete's feat was coined with primacy for the 17.15-meter competition.

Díaz extended the consecutive crowns of Cubans to four in these contests. The party was started by Pedro Pablo Pichardo in Barcelona in 2012, and extended by Lázaro Martínez Eugene-2014 and Bydgoszcz-2016.

Cuba won bronze on Saturday with Yaritza Martínez at the hammer launch and climbed to 11th place for a gold, a silver and a pair of third positions.

The World Under-20 Athletics Championships is the highest international athletics competition in the junior category (18 or 19 years old). It is organized by the International Federation of Athletics (IAAF). The first edition took place in 1986 and since then, it has been held every two years
