Barranquilla, July 29.- Cuban Elianis Despaigne and Yaritza C. Martinez won the silver and bronze, in that order, at the launch of the hammer corresponding to the athletic tournament of the XXIII Games of Central America and the Caribbean.

In the early days of king sport in the regional struggle, West Indian women earned 64.40 records. and 61.44 meters, respectively, in a race dominated by the Venezuelan Rosa A. Rodríguez (67.91).
