Diplo launches a mini-documentary about his artistic career

The DJ, producer and artist, Diplo released a mini-documentary entitled California (2018) directed by Kyle Deppina where En 8 minutes he talks about his career through his first outing "Florida".

In the video you can see appearances of MIA, Skrillex, Francis Dillion, Major Lazer, Dr. Skull, Lee Scratch Perry, Snoop Lion, Steve Aoki, among others.

The producer explains how being born in South Florida brought him many musical inspirations, but he had to move to California because that was where the talent was. He loved hip hop and was based on samples to make music; which led him to make his first album 'Florida & # 39; in 2004.

Also appear some fragments of collaborations that he did with different artists such as Lil Xan, DRAM, Trippy Redd, Lil Yatchy and Santigold to give birth to his new EP California (2018) , published in March.

In 2016, Diplo with Major Lazer's trio were the first American artists to play in Cuba after the "reconciliation" between Washington and Havana since 1961.

The show was taking place in front of the American Embbady well that apparently it was not a simple concert to realize as it took about 18 months to get ready, producing the event space and that it was ok for both governments .
