Eating with identity, invitation to the roots of Cuban cuisine

Bayamo, Jul. 7 (ACN) Jorge Rosales Sánchez, Vice President of the Culinary Association in Granma Province, pointed out today, in this city, the importance of the book Eating with Identity, as an interesting guide to learn recipes and contribute to the rescue of drinks and foods typical of Cuba.

As part of the first edition of the Feast of Aliñao, Rosales Sánchez said the text looks at traditional food, and aims to promote recognition as a national heritage.

He said that recipes also contribute to a healthy diet, with the proposal of dishes based on fish and seafood, meats, vegetables, eggs, birds …

Written by Frank Rodríguez Pino, chef Professional and Liudys Carmona Calaña, poet and culinary lover, the book has 146 pages, divided into 12 chapters, including the title The Pirates Sweet Potato, Ducán de los buccaneros, Los Caimaneros and the Sabor has cocó, Recipes with corn, and Magic with the mystery.

Other proposals in the book called Chicken Cubans Love, Preparing and Preserving Food, Desserts and Inebriating Power, the latter includes three types of creams, clbadic badtails from Cuba and some wine.

Dedicated to Wilfredo Pachy Naranjo and the 15th anniversary of the Colibrí label, the event includes lectures, concerts, exhibitions and stage performances, in the municipalities of Manzanillo and Bayamo.

For this Sunday, the closing of the festival is scheduled, with the burial of a bottle of the beloved drink, a lecture by Raúl Torres and concerts by several participants.
