Just at 12 o'clock in the morning on July 25, the pier of the city of Santiago was fully illuminated with thousands of fireworks thrown in the air with all its color and sound, for about 30 minutes, to welcome the day marking the 503rd anniversary of the founding of the ancient village of Santiago de Cuba
A crowd of santiagueros, santiagueras and from people from other parts of the country and the world, were concentrated along the so-called city walk to attend this celebration, which was led by the highest Party and government authorities in the Province, members of the Central Committee Lázaro Expósito Canto, Hero of Labor, and Beatriz Jhonson Urrutia, Vice President of the State Council, respectively.
Prior to the fireworks show, the attendees enjoyed an artistic show that included, inter alia, with the dancers and extras of the show Frenesi of the cabaret Tropicana Santiago, the so-called men's carriages and the magic lights and sound designed by the group Locomotion.
A few hours before, there was also another milestone for this 503 anniversary: the toast for the prosperity of the city and its inhabitants, made with the rums Paticruzao, made with a new image by the Company of Drinks and Refreshments, as well as the Santiago, commemorative for the 65th anniversary of the Moncada, Cuba Ron Corporation
Today in the city of Santiago, and in different ways, the city celebrates the occasion of. another anniversary of the founding of the city of Santiago de Cuba, transformed into the cradle of the Cuban Revolution, and recognized by its rich history of rebellion, patriotism and victories as the heroic city of the Republic of Cuba and holder of the 39; Antonio Maceo Order.
