Guests shine in the bath of Barranquilla-2018

July 21, 2018, 02:39 Barranquilla, Colombia, July 21, PL) Colombia won Friday two of seven gold medals in the swimming games of Central America and the Caribbean Barranquilla -2018, while Mexico, Jamaica, Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago and the Bahamas shared the rest of the original spoils.

Hosts Jonathan Gómez and Isabella Arcila won the 200-meter butterfly and 50 reverse races, respectively, to help win the coffee delegation that finished with nine titles topping the first medal count at the Games.

With the exception of the four-for-400 mixed relay, won by Mexico, all finals set records for the oldest regional games in the world

This Saturday the swimming pool complex will host seven other finals: for the ladies the 200 free, 50 butterflies and 100 backs, while the newts will fight in 100 chests, a thousand free 500, 200 individual combined and will close the relay on day four by 100.
