July 8, 2018, 17:54 Caracas, Jul 8 (PL) Italian cyclist Marco Benfatto, of the Androni Giocattoli Sidermec team, today won the fourth stage of the Vuelta in Venezuela, at a time marked by consolidation of the host Ángel Rivas topping the individual overall standings.
Rivas (Government Miranda Trek) kept the competition management with accumulated 16:21:57 hours, followed by teammate Leonel Quintero and Alain Quispe (Peru national team) respectively 18 and 23 seconds from the summit .
Cristian Pita (Ecuador-17), Wilmen Bravo (Deportivo Tachira-15) and Simón Marín (Bicycles Castilla Idermi-11) com the sprint clbadification is in that order, while Benfatto (60), Pita (53) and Bravo (49) occupy the first places in the points section.
Similarly, the Miranda Trek government leads the team ranking. with the time of 49:05:41 hours, in front of the teams of Ecuador and Bicicletas Castilla Idermi, at 3:33 and 6:19 minutes, respectively.
The 55th edition of the Cycling Tour of Venezuela will continue tomorrow, Monday with the individual time trial, agreed on 34,5 kilometers in a circuit of Guanare (Portuguesa).
