From the beginning, the Mexican delegation added its first two gold medals to the fourth day of Central America Games and the Barranquilla Caribbean 2018 with the participation of Alexis Lopez and Kenya Lettuce in Remo

In the city of Cali, Alexis was the first to come into action in the final of Men's lightweight in which he finished with 7: 53.96 to claim the highest spot on the podium. He was followed by Cuban Yhoan Uribarri with 8: 00.6 for silver and bronze went to José Guipe of Venezuela with 8: 03.44.

Kenya showed a singular direct battle with Llianny Román of Cuba in Single Sculls Light. The Mexican snatched the gold medal with very little difference to finish at 8: 40.74 and leave the island in second place with 8: 53.75. Adriana Escobar from El Salvador completed the podium.

Diego Sánchez and Juan Flores (7: 31.26) added one more money to the delegation with the second place achieved in Pox Coxless Men.
