Bogota, July 6 (PL) The village of the 23rd Games of Central America and the Caribbean, which will host more than 5,000 athletes in the city of Barranquilla, is now ready, the Colombian authorities confirmed today.
Daniel Noguera, general manager of the Games, explained that the Villa is in the best conditions so that the athletes can live together, interact, rest and concentrate for their tests.
The Central American village has 60, 000 square meters hosting the five thousand 445 athletes entered the Games and over two thousand barranquilleros who will work as support staff.
The facility will also have clinical facilities, including resuscitation rooms, dentistry, emergencies, inhalation therapy sampling, X-ray, pharmacy, among other medical services.
There will also be entertainment areas, Wi-Fi zones, prayer areas, as well as several gyms and shopping points, among other amenities.
The dining room of the Villa has the capacity to serve 2,100 people simultaneously.
It is expected that the largest volume of athletes will arrive in Barranquilla between July 15th and July 16th.
