Martha Argerich returns to Córdoba

The concert program begins with Lenore, a melodrama for piano and recital, with the performance of Martha Argerich and Annie Dutoit, daughter of Swiss pianist and conductor Charles Dutoit. The pianist, who turned 77 on June 5, will then perform Les Préludes, the famous symphonic poem No. 3 in the series of 13 composed by Liszt.

For the announced program, the work Totentanz follows, the dance of death for piano and orchestra performed by Mauricio Vallina, born in Cuba, lives in Brussels and accompanies the artist in this tour of Argentina which includes the cities of Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Tucumán and Cordova; the same Martha Argerich said of Vallina that he is "a pianist of great virtuosity, very creative, talented and an excellent musician".

Finally, the Cordoba Symphony Orchestra accompanies the soloist in the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra N. 1 in E flat major, with the direction of Guillermo Becerra, visiting professor.
