The nineteenth edition of the Cuban Culture Art Fair in La Rampa will open on Friday, July 6th, and will continue until September 2nd in its usual Cuban Pavilion area. The event is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Ernesto Guevara de la Serna and the third congress of the Hermanos Saíz Association. It also celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Property (fcbc), the main organizer of the fair, and the 30th anniversary of Artex.
For the opening day at 14:00, the inauguration of a photographic exhibition is planned dedicated to the figure of Che, El Túnel, fruit of the collaboration of the fcbc and the Center d & # 39; Che Guevara studies. Subsequently, Gerardo Alfonso and his group will perform on the central stage. Arte en La Rampa will open its doors on this occasion from Tuesday to Friday, from 13:00. at 19:00, Saturdays and Sundays, from 10:00. at 7:00 pm
More than one hundred CFBC stands, including the presence of its provincial affiliates in Havana, Mayabeque, Artemisa and Cienfuegos, the latter as a guest; Artex, Egrem, Casa de las Américas, Cuban Book Institute, Icaic, Fans House of the City Historian's Office and the AHS will be available to the public.
They will be able to acquire different types of crafts, such as wooden furniture – present for the first time -, visual arts products, records, books and d & # 39; Other different uses. The fair offers an extensive recreational program that includes live presentation of first-level performers, spaces like Encuentro con …, downloads at La Pergola and exchanges with prominent exhibitors of Cuban culture and society .
Special Moment will be the exhibition, in the first place, of the first images of the Cuban film Inocencia, by filmmaker Alejandro Gil, dedicated to the eight medical students shot dead by the colonialist government of Spain, and hand in hand
will hold the orchestras Faílde and Cubaclamé, of Las Tunas, growers of our national dance and integrated by young graduates of our art schools.
But not only Art in La Rampa is the main summer offering of the FCBC in 2018, but the institution will remain active during the months of July and August all the circuit of its galleries in the country. Its provincial affiliates will organize different activities in each of the territories and in Villa Clara will take place, from July 12 to 15, the eleventh edition of the Exuberarte Fashion Festival, at Parc Leoncio Vidal.
