Mexican karate player Guadalupe Quintal wins silver in Central America

The Mexican Guadalupe Quintal won the silver medal after losing the final of karate do in front of the Venezuelan Omaira Molina at the Central America and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 . In the 68 kilo division, the Mexican was overtaken by the Venezuelan by a score of 1-3 to finish with the money. The bronzes were held by the Dominican Pamela Rodríguez and the Colombian Shanne Torres.

Quintal, originally from Yucatan, was a step away from getting his first gold medal in this type of competition, but in the same way getting his pbadport to the Pan American Games in Lima 2019.
