Maria José Mata and Martha Rocío Sandoval won gold and silver.

Mexican swimmers in open water did the 1-2, since Maria Jose Mata won the gold medal, Martha Rocío Sandoval managed the money and Martha Ruth Aguilar concluded with the fourth place at the Games of Central America and the Caribbean Barranquilla 2018.
Mata Cocco crossed the finish line with a time of 2: 08: 41.0 hours, to grab first place. The potosine got its pbad to the Central American joust after winning gold in the 1945 kilometer and bronze test at the 10.
Its compatriot Sandoval Ayala with 19.1 seconds later, appeared to be in second place and hang the silver medal with a time of 2: 9: 00: 1 o'clock.
For five seconds, Agtar Ortega, an 18-year-old Aztec swimmer, lost bronze, before Venezuela's Guadal Aponte, who was fastest with 2: 09: 03.9 hours, 22.9 seconds behind María José.
