It is estimated that the five million inhabitants would have been born on 1 September 2018 at 21:27, although it is not possible to specify where this will occur.

It is badumed that the 5 million inhabitants will be affected by a birth on the national territory and, for the most recent period, the dynamics of the population will be affected only by the combination of the effects of fertility and mortality.

However, between 1989 and 2000, when the country reached 4 million inhabitants, there was a slowdown in growth with an annual rate of 2.6%; and this deceleration is more pronounced now that the country would reach its 5 million, since the annual growth rate is 1.2%.
