July 26, 2018, 7:56 pm San Jose, July 26 (Prensa Latina) Costa Rica will not turn the reality if it does not articulately and on a large scale, said today the president, Carlos Alvarado, in the workshop to create the strategy of the Presidential Joint Council for Human Security.

Alvarado emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in collaboration with communities to guide solutions to the various situations they live, and thanked the Center for Urban and Environmental Studies (Urbam ) from the Eafit University of Medellin, for bringing its iconic experience to Costa Rica.

"Your work (to transform Medellin) is a model for Costa Rica that can lead us to the social transformation required by our neighborhoods, our communities, to reduce the problems of violence, increasing the quality of life of people" , said the President of Costa Rica

In the workshop, which began today and concluded tomorrow, more than 40 representatives from different public institutions and local governments will participate, led by the Minister of Human Development and Social Inclusion, María Fullmen.

When we talk about human security, we understand the right of people to live in freedom, says Fullmen.

He said that during the two days from the workshop they will build, with the experience of Urbam, the strategy that Costa Rica will apply in the next four years to bring human development to the communities, especially the most vulnerable
