Havana, July 21 (RHC) Cuban women's group Camerata Romeu will perform a Brazilian folk music concert this Saturday with violinist and composer Ricardo Herz.
director of the chamber orchestra, Zenaida Romeu, the recital will be held at its usual headquarters, the minor basilica of the convent of San Francisco de Asis, located in Old Havana.
Romeu explained that Herz's music is considered vital, energetic and revolutionary in relation to the right-hand technique of violinists, whose ways of conceiving Afro-Brazilian rhythms achieve an authentic flavor inherited from the ripping of guitars typical of the South American giant.
In turn, he expressed that the compositions of the artist and the way of interpreting them constitute a vast arsenal of lyricism which, with an absolute novelty enjoyed by the artist, makes the sound string orchestra sileña
The Brazilian musician Herz graduated as a violinist in his country and studied higher education in France and at the University of Berkeley in the United States. (Source: PL)
