During the meeting, Rosa Miriam Elizalde presented to the delegates the proposed work projections of the UPEC for the period 2018-2023, which was approved by one hundred percent of the Present

The Union of Cuban Journalists recognized the work of prominent journalists of the union such as Aixa Hevia González, Bárbara Doval and José Alejandro Rodríguez.

UPEC has granted special recognition to four media celebrating closed foundation anniversaries in this month of July: Tele Turquino, Las Tunas Journal 26, CMHW Villa Clara Broadcaster, Radio City of Havana.
