Cuba will have, for the first time, an amusement park with Braille posters for blind and visually impaired children.
The park, which will open in Cienfuegos, will be called "Happy Sunrise".
According to Arnaldo Cruz, project coordinator, at the entrance of the devices, there will be high contrast colors, among which magenta, orange, green and black, which facilitate the Identification of children and autism. to play teams.
This portion of the park is scheduled to be completed in July, but other fun proposals for children will continue to be worked on.
Alexis Sarria, head of the blind room at the provincial library, was responsible for the braille transcription of the names of the park teams. It is also he who dictated to the designer the points of the code of this system to develop the numerical matrix.
According to Sarria, "it is one of the most humane ways of including children with disabilities – a gift to the city for the bicentennial."
For its part, the architect and designer Yoelvi Vilariño said that "it was a challenge to badume for the first time the whole process and materialize the manufacture of Braille 139 signage, as they had to develop a digital matrix tape of this system to read and write on the computer. "
Vilariño stated that" after copying the contents was printed on adhesive paper to see what points were going to be stamped on the stainless steel tablet, finally painted these and then placed them in a fixed location of each totem park. "
The identification totems were developed by the Redis group. They have taken into account the lighting of these, some include myths and stories of the city of Cienfuegos.
The park has an electric train, slides, rides, toy stores, 3D rooms, cafes.
Up to now, some 200,000 pesos have been invested in the construction of this playground, an initiative that will give opportunity to children with disabilities, so that they can also be part of play and have fun.
