The musical contest that tests the best freestyle hip-hop reps around Latin America honors its new edition, to be held in Santo Domingo on September 1st.

According to the organizers, participants will have only one possibility to record their video, although they will have a practice space to tweak before recording the video final.

"After being selected by a jury of the stage, the 16 best roosters will be on the Aqua stage, the winner will represent the Dominican Republic at the Red Bull Battle of the Gallos International Final in Buenos Aires, Argentina" , said the producers in a statement. All improvisers have until August 20 to register.

The musical competition will also bring together MCs from Peru, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba, Argentina and Panama.

The competition seeks the ability to improvise in a verbal battle head-to-head. The goal is to attack the opponent with mental agility, clean rhymes and a lot of creativity.

This artistic concept has left its mark in the region, having propelled the careers of artists of the stature of Mozart La Para, Street Poet, Gnomish, Meka, Jayco and Pablo Piddy.
