Two men were crushed on Saturday afternoon while they were trying to cross the Mexico-Toluca Expressway at the height of the Caminero monument. One of them died on the site and the other was injured.
The accident occurred around 18:00 hours, near kilometer 40 and at the height of the municipality of Ocoyoacac, towards Mexico City.
According to federal police reports, a Kia car driven by a woman took pedestrians who were in the low lane.
Paramedics arrived at the scene. There they certified the death of the 41-year-old man while injured he was transferred to a hospital with a preliminary diagnosis of skull fracture.
The two victims were laborers in the work of Mexico-Toluca Intercity Train
The driver was placed at the disposal of the corresponding authorities .
