Yacimientos Petrolíferos Taxes Bolivianos has developed 15 lubricating oils and greases for the automotive and industrial sectors in 11 years of the state administration of the refinery of Cochabamba, in contrast to the period of privatization that made no effort in this regard, an aspect that allowed it to lead production and marketing, informed today YPFB CEO, Oscar Barriga.

"Since our Gualberto Villarroel refinery, 51% of the oils used in the car fleet are produced, obviously we are competing with other brands, but the aim is that over from the time we gained space today, we are leaders, not only in production, but in the marketing of lubricants for the automotive fleet, "said the director of the national oil company.

During private management, no major investment was made to develop new lubricant formulations under the YPFB brand.
