A spokesperson for the governor’s office told The Times that Cuomo’s statement on the WAMC was a well-meaning lie that was warned by his “plans are changing” quote.
“Given the current circumstances with COVID, he will have to work during Thanksgiving and will not see them,” said Richard Azzopardi, senior adviser to the governor.
Azzopardi added: “Don’t tell her mother – she doesn’t know it yet.”
