The governor has asked New Yorkers to wait for the outcome of two separate inquiries into the harassment allegations, one overseen by State Attorney General Letitia James and the other by the Assembly of State, before making decisions about his behavior.
On Monday, Debra Katz, Ms Bennett’s lawyer, said her client provided more than 100 documents and four hours of testimony to investigators to back up her claims about the governor, including that he created a “sexually work environment. hostile “as part of” his deliberate efforts to create rivalry and tension among the female staff to whom he has paid attention. “
Ms McGrath believes her closeness to the governor may have precluded further opportunities. When she looked for another job in the state government in 2019, she was told that the governor’s willingness to work with her would prevent her from accepting the new post.

Since further allegations were made against Mr. Cuomo, Ms. McGrath has continued to work. She says executive offices are largely quiet, a far cry from the heady days of Mr. Cuomo’s popularity linked to the pandemic, when Capitol Halls buzzed with excitement and determination.
Ms McGrath said she watched the Governor’s first press conference after Ms Bennett went public in The Times on March 3 and was angry at his insistence that he not “touch anybody else. inappropriately ”.
“It makes me really upset to hear her talk about this and completely deny all the allegations,” she said, saying it left her in disbelief. “And I have no doubt in my mind that all of these accusers are telling the truth.”
One of these accusers is his colleague. Ms McGrath said she feared retaliation for speaking out, but she and her colleague had grown angry with themselves for putting up with Mr Cuomo’s behavior for so long.
“She and I discussed this after the fact and now we’re like, ‘How didn’t we see this? Ms. McGrath said, still baffled by her interactions with Mr. Cuomo. “Because it’s so blatant and obvious.”
