Governor Cuomo’s ex Sandra Lee offered “healing” words to his social media followers just hours after allegations of sexual harassment were made public against him by a second woman in days.

The message came hours after The New York Times revealed that Cuomo’s 25-year-old former aide Charlotte Bennet accused the 63-year-old governor of asking her inappropriate personal questions at work – telling her that ‘he was open to relationships with women. in his twenties and making him feel like he wanted to date her.
The charges came days after another former aide, Lindsey Boylan, publicly accused the governor of attempting to kiss her on the mouth in her New York office in 2018. She also said he suggested playing strip poker on a flight on its official state jet in October 2017.
Bennett said the interactions occurred at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic – months after his fall 2019 split with Lee, who he dated for 14 years.
Lee, 54, said as recently as April that she was still in daily contact with the governor.
“He’s still my guy,” she told the Today show. “None of us, as far as I know, have had a date.
Around the same time, Cuomo is said to have joined Bennett – who grew up in Westchester County and is roughly the same age as Cuomo’s daughters.
Bennett told The Times that the governor revealed to her during a June meeting at his office in Albany that he was alone and “couldn’t even kiss anyone,” before pressing her on who she kissed the last time.
Cuomo responded to Bennett’s allegations in a statement on Saturday – as calls for an investigation into the governor’s conduct have grown.
“I never made advances towards Ms. Bennett and I never intended to act in an inappropriate manner,” Cuomo said. “The last thing I ever wanted was to make her feel the things that are reported.”
