STRAIT – Most of this weekend’s snowfall ended on Sunday morning – even a little earlier than expected.
An area of low pressure passing through southern Michigan weakened on Sunday as its energy was transferred to a developing storm on the east coast, reducing the Detroit subway snow totals shorter than expected near and south from I-94. While there may be a small resurgence of light snowfall in the far south from Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening, little – if any – accumulation is expected. Definitely less than an inch.

A higher level disturbance crossing the state on Monday can generate more light snow, but is expected to remain under an inch of accumulation for the most part. Southeastern Monroe County could receive more snowfall on Monday.
