Smartphones, for many of us, are the most important tools we use on a daily basis, and it’s really great to be able to buy one that fits our needs perfectly. This is precisely why smartphone manufacturers offer several variations of each smartphone – to make sure that everyone has a choice. Indian smartphone brand Lava, whose new smartphone can be personalized according to your needs.

Called MyZ, the smartphone offers five customizable settings: rear camera, front camera, RAM, storage and color. For example, one can choose between a three camera setup and a two camera setup depending on how important the rear cameras are to them. Similarly, one can also choose the amount of RAM (2 GB / 3 GB / 4 GB / 6 GB) and the required storage (32 GB / 64 GB / 128 GB).

Lava MyZ

It is not a modular phone, but customers also have the option of upgrading their phone within a year if they feel their setup is not enough for them. For example, if 4GB of RAM turns out to be a bottleneck for a user, they can upgrade to a new phone with 6GB of RAM with Lava’s Z-Up service for a small fee.

Apart from the flexibility in choosing certain phone specifications, the MyZ is a fairly basic phone. It is powered by a MediaTek G35 SoC, has a 6.5 inch HD + IPS LCD display, and a 5000mAh battery. The 2GB variant runs on the Android 10GB edition, while the higher RAM variants run on Android 10.

The phone starts at a retail price of INR 6,999 (~ $ 95) and goes up to INR 10,699 (~ $ 146) for the variant at its peak.
