Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt to ‘take vigorous action’ to defend against a lawsuit

Cyberpunk 2077 publisher CD Projekt SA has confirmed that it has been notified of the lawsuit against the company and “will take vigorous action to defend itself against such allegations.” The board of directors of CD Projekt SA made the regulatory announcement in response to New Rosen Law Firm, based in York, filed the aforementioned class action lawsuit on behalf of buyers in the United States of the securities of CD Projekt SA between the January 16, 2020 and December 17, 2020.He acknowledges that the lawsuit is intended for the court to decide “whether the actions taken by the Company and the members of its Management Board in connection with the release of Cyberpunk 2077 violated federal laws, including by misleading investors and suffering damage. “

CD Projekt also notes that “the complaint does not specify the amount of damages claimed” and that it “will take, as previously mentioned,” vigorous action to defend itself against such claims. “Law firm Rosen lawsuit claims CD Projekt had ‘made false and / or misleading statements’ and / or did not disclose that’ Cyberpunk 2077 was virtually unplayable on current generation Xbox or PlayStation systems due to a huge number of bugs ”.

In response to the above and the messy message surrounding the game’s launch, Sony has removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS Store and Sony, Microsoft and CD Projekt would be “obligated to offer a full refund for the game.”
