There has actually been no real Cyberpunk 2077 news for quite some time now, aside from the game’s return to PlayStation Store where it topped the download rankings last month. Players wait for signs of life on New game development, including the promised free DLC and the game’s next-gen upgrade, both announced before the end of the year after long delays.
Instead, Cyberpunk posts more or less content on its social media calendars, alternating between brief biographies of random Night City characters, but also a “Cyberpunk by the Numbers” campaign that features different stats, for the mostly meaningless, about the activity of players in the game. It’s… whatever, but fans have now started to laugh at it in a way that reflects Cyberpunk’s broken promises and the missed potential of the nearly 900,000-member community on the subreddit. This has resulted in a lot of pretty funny parodies of the concept that I’ve enjoyed over the past few days. Here are some of my favorites:

This is what fans do when they have nothing else to do. We’re now well advanced in July, and there is still not a whiff of information on when Cyberpunk plans to release information on what its next free DLC will contain.
Those browsing the Epic Game Store for potential information on Cyberpunk’s future believe they’ve discovered a massive 38GB patch coming in the next few weeks, but I’m not sure how reliable it is or what it is. could contain. Apparently the user-only DLC information used being there has been deleted, so we don’t know what’s going on.
CDPR is working on the game, that’s clear, but they never, ever released their plans or timelines in advance, so fans have to guess when and what fixes are coming. Many are hoping that the free DLC will fix at least some of these issues in the memes above like player and car customization, but nothing seems guaranteed at this point.
