Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.06 comes to Stadia and fixes stuck weapons

Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most anticipated games of 2020 and, thereafter, one of the most difficult messes, worthy of the genre of 2020. Cyberpunk 2077’s latest update, patch 1.06, is now available to Stadia players, fixing some of the biggest Stadia specific bugs, including the weapon sticking issue.

In a surprise to everyone, the version of Cyberpunk 2077 playable on Stadia has been surprisingly stable compared to console ports. That said, the weeks since launch have seen a slew of updates, fixing major and minor issues in the game. announced on Twitter, Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.06 is now available for players on Stadia, having been made available on console and PC platforms on December 23.

While this almost month-long delay certainly stings, it seems there was a good reason for it. Some delay in Stadia’s release of Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.06 can of course be explained by the holidays, combined with the Stadia port run by another company, QLOC. More importantly for gamers, it looks like patch 1.06 includes a whole host of Stadia-specific bugs.

The most important of these is a fix for the commonly reported issue that would see V’s weapons ‘get stuck’ after using a grenade or other gadget. QLOC also appears to have tracked down some of the crashes that occur late in the storyline.

  • Dum Dum will no longer disappear from the entrance to Totentanz for Second conflict.

Specific to Stadia

  • Improved driving mechanics for story NPCs while V is a passenger.
  • Fixed rare crashes when loading near endgame saves and fixed some of the previously interrupted saves.
  • Weapons should no longer get stuck when using gadgets (like grenades) or firing in quick succession.
  • V should no longer get stuck randomly in a strong attacking position.
  • V should no longer randomly switch to a sprint while crouching forward.
  • Fixed inability to reload weapons or use grenades and consumables.

Of course, with Stadia being cloud-based, you can now play Cyberpunk 2077 with patch 1.06 without having to wait for updates.
