PlayStation revealed the most downloaded PS4, PS5 and PSVR games during the month of June, and unsurprisingly, Ratchet & Clank: Rift apart was the most popular PS5 title. More surprising is that Cyberpunk 2077, even after its messy launch and PSN store deletion, was the most downloaded PS4 game in the past month.
As usual, Sony posted a blog list of the most downloaded games of the last month. It’s not shocking to see big new games like Ratchet & Clank and FIFA 21 topping the charts, which are split between US / Canada and Europe. New Ratchet & Clank is one of some real PS5 exclusives there, and it’s really good. So it makes sense that it’s so popular.

however, Cyberpunk 2077 leader of the PS4 charts, in the US and Europe, caught my eye. On the one hand, the game has returned to PSN Store June 21, which means he reached that top spot in no time. Another point is that, even after all the bugs, glitches and other issues, a lot of people still want to play Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4. (Or on PS5, where the game is backwards compatible.)
What makes it even wilder is that Sony itself is warning people not to buy Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4. You can find this review on the game’s store page:
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Users continue to experience performance issues with this game. Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended.
G / O Media may earn a commission
But it seems enough people don’t care or haven’t read the store page and Cyberpunk 2077 became the most downloaded PS4 game of June.
Last month the most downloaded game in most regions and consoles was Resident Evil Village. I would like to think that Lady Dimitrescu helped a lot.
