Cyberpunk 2077The big new patch 1.1 of version 1.1 introduced a revolutionary bug. Eurogamer reports that the quest “Down on the Street” appears to be on hold for some players. The quest includes a holocall that is supposed to trigger progression in the main part of Cyberpunk 2077the scenario of. Unfortunately, some players report that the call goes silent and blocks game progress.

Developer CD Projekt Red has posted a workaround for the issue, but it requires players to have an earlier save of the game to try and get the holocall to work properly. Here are the steps:

  1. Load a game save before Takemura and V leave Wakako’s office
  2. Immediately end the conversation with Takemura in front of the desk
  3. Right after the end of the conversation and when the quest has been updated, skip 11 p.m.
  4. See if the holocall goes off and the dialogue with Takemura begins

Cyberpunk 2077 has been plagued with bugs since its December 10 release, and CD Projekt Red has released three fixes to try and fix some of the early issues. Thankfully, most of the bugs and glitches weren’t as big a deal as the one gamers discovered this week.

This new update 1.1 was meant to be the first big patch to introduce stability improvements, not breakthrough bugs. CD Projekt Red is also planning another major patch 1.2 which is supposed to be a “bigger and bigger update” which will arrive “in the weeks following” this latest patch 1.1. However, it is not yet clear whether there will be a quick fix to fix this latter issue.
