Conglomerate 451, a cyberpunk dungeon crawling robot pulling some elements of XCOM, was announced today by 1C Entertainment

RuneHeads, the independent developer behind 2017 Fall of light, today announced its partnership with 1C Entertainment publisher for the upcoming match: Conglomerate 451. It's an interesting mix of cyberpunk, first-person dungeon analysis and things you expect to see in a XCOM game, so Conglomerate 451 has definitely made its way on my radar.

In Conglomerate 451Players control a team of cloned police officers that they can personalize with weapons, implants and cyber-members, which can completely change the way the character plays. In order to unlock and find new improvements, players must take advantage of their own research and development department. These characteristics, as well as permadeath levels and procedurally generated, are the clearest XCOM influences on Conglomerate 451.

That being said, each mission in the 451 sector of Conglomerate City stages a dungeon robot based on a first-person grid. The battles engage players in a turn-based VATS system, in which they can target individual members and weak points of their enemies. Enemies can do the same thing to the player's agents, but horrible wounds can turn into negative status modifiers that will impact future rounds. Piracy will also be an important part of the game and can give players an advantage earlier in each dungeon.

Conglomerate 451 is about to appear "soon" in Steam Early Access.
