A new trailer for Wander, the futuristic cyberpunk adventure game in which you’ll control a cat, offers our best look at the game from developer BlueTwelve Studio. The chat-centric gameplay feels incredibly authentic; as the titular stray cat you will spill things to solve puzzles and create new paths, jump through a strange city with feline grace and collect furniture because you despise the material investments of humans.
Most of what you will do in Wander relies on a cat’s real-world capabilities. But you also have a useful companion, a drone named B-12, which offers other goodies. B-12 will usefully interact with objects in the world and communicate with the robotic inhabitants of the city. The cat will also need to avoid the danger of rat-like creatures, but with the help of B-12, it looks like the cat can turn the tide and kill them en masse with a purple light.
The cat can also very likely lick its buttocks, as shown in the GIF below.
Wander arrives on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC in early 2022.
