PRAGUE – The Czech Republic’s richest man, billionaire Petr Kellner, was killed in a helicopter crash in Alaska, his financial group PPF said on Monday. He was 56 years old.
PPF said five people died in the crash, the circumstances of which were under investigation.
“We report with great sorrow that in a helicopter crash in the Alaskan mountains on Saturday March 27, the founder and majority owner of the PPF Group, Mr. Petr Kellner, has tragically passed away,” PPF said. in a press release.
Kellner was an imposing business figure of the Czech post-Communist era, with an estimated fortune of $ 17.5 billion according to Forbes.
