While 2020 has caused several delays when it comes to new Disney attractions, 2021 is sure to be a year filled with excitement. D23 has released a list of all the Disney attractions slated to open in 2021, in addition to all of the Disney park birthdays we have to expect. While we are aware of it, it’s nice to see confirmation that things are still set to open this New Year.
While Disneyland Resort is currently closed, Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure is scheduled to open this year. It was originally scheduled to open in July 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic struck.
At Disneyland Park, we have already seen a preview of the renovated Snow White’s enchanted wish attraction, which should reopen this year.
At Walt Disney World, the historic transformation of EPCOT continues, notably with the opening of Rémy’s Ratatouille adventure in the France pavilion this year. Rémy’s Ratatouille adventure was also due to open in summer 2020.
Nights are about to get brighter with the addition of the new nighttime extravaganza, Harmonious, one of the biggest nightlife shows ever, which will debut this year.
At Disneyland Paris, Disney’s Hotel New York is undergoing its biggest renovation ever, an ambitious reinvention that will transform the property into Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel when it reopens this year. It will be the very first hotel entirely dedicated to the celebration of Marvel art, with one of the largest collections of publicly available Marvel artwork in the world.
There is also a new Cars Upcoming attraction at Walt Disney Studios Park this year, where guests will be invited on a trip to experience wacky roadside attractions and local natural wonders while meeting some of the fan favorites Cars characters!
2021 will also mark several milestone anniversaries at Disney parks around the world. In October, the Walt Disney World Resort will celebrate its golden anniversary – 50 years of magic! D23 will join the excitement with their D23 Collector’s Set celebrating 50 Magical Years, which will be included with all new D23 Gold memberships in 2021.
Disney California Adventure and the Downtown Disney District will be celebrating their 20th anniversary starting this month.
Shanghai Disneyland will celebrate its 5th anniversary in June. Its 5th anniversary logo debuted during New Year’s Eve celebrations at the park.
Hong Kong Disneyland has already started celebrating its 15th anniversary with the debut of the Magic Dream Castle and will continue the celebrations until 2021.
